Meetings of the general membership of the Mid-Hudson Kennel Association are held on the second Wednesday of every month, at 7:30 pm, at the Starr Library on Market Street in Rhinebeck, NY (map). Guests are always welcome to attend. For anyone considering joining MHKA or getting involved in dog activities, attending an MHKA meeting is a good first step.
Educational programs are held at meetings at least three times a year, benefiting the average pet owner as well as Club members. We hold a potluck dinner in September, and an annual awards banquet in March.
Annual elections are held during the October meeting, with nominations for officers made at the prior September meeting.
ATTENTION MEMBERS: The March meeting and Annual Awards Banquet of the Mid-Hudson Kennel Association will be our annual Awards Dinner and it will be held on Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at The Rhinecliff, 4 Grinnell Street, Rhinecliff, NY at 6:00 p.m.
BOARD MEMBERS: We will be holding a brief Board Meeting before dinner is served since our February meeting was cancelled.
We will be presenting the awards earned by our members during 2009. The cost of the dinner will be $30.00 which includes tax and gratuity. Members who have been active in the Club during the year (help at events, etc.) are entitled to a subsidy for the dinner and will pay only $15.00 each.
Choices of entrees are: Zinfandel Glazed Beef Short Rib, or Grilled Chicken “Saltimbocca” with sage and brown butter. Both will be served with “smashed” fingerling potatoes and roasted winter root vegetables along with Mixed Garden Salad. These will be followed with coffee, tea or herbals and Sticky Toffee Pudding with vanilla ice-cream.
