Mid-Hudson Kennel Association Agility Trials

The Mid-Hudson Kennel Association will hold its annual AKC Licensed Agility Trial On May 1 & 2 at HITS (Horse Shows in the Sun) in Saugerties, NY (see map). Please not that this is a new site for the event. More information will be available as the date approaches.

"Dog agility is a sport in which a handler directs a dog through an obstacle course in a race for both time and accuracy. Dogs must run off-leash with no food or toys as incentives. The handler can touch neither dog nor obstacles, except accidentally. Consequently, the handler's controls are limited to voice, movement, and various body signals, requiring exceptional training of the animal." (Wikipedia)
